Miquel Avella-Oliver obtained his BS degree in Chemistry and his MS in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Valencia, and he received his PhD in 2017 from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He is currently a researcher at IDM (Interuniversity Research Institute for Molecular Recognition and Technological Development) and his research interests mainly focus on optical biosensing, label-free detection, biorecognition assays, and point-of-care systems.
