Networks of neurons
We are building networks of neurons in a petri dish to figure out the basic functions of the brain.

Unraveling how billions of nerve cells in the human brain work together and carry out their functions from processing sensory signals to storing information is one of the key challenges of this century. I am interested in developing methods to engineer and study networks of neurons in a petri dish.

Research interests

  • Stimulation of neuronal cultures
  • Engineered neuronal networks
  • FluidFM technology
