Research Activities

The aim of my PhD is to figure out how a stretching environment affects the development of muscle tissue, myogenesis. The project is divided in a part where the research is focused on answering fundamental cell biological questions related to stretch activated calcium channels and insulin-like growth factor 1, and an engineering part where the aim is to develop and improve cell stretchers.
